What personal information we collect, why we need it, and how it is protected.

Qalam Educative (qalameducative.store) is an online store run by POONAMA SHARMA, an individual as a sole proprietor based at VIKRANT KHAND, GOMTI NAGAR, LUCKNOW, UTTAR PRADESH 226010, India. It is not a registered company and is not registered under GST. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

  • At checkout: your name, email address and mobile number. We need these to deliver your files, send your receipt, and because the payment gateway requires a contact number for UPI and card verification.
  • Order records: the product, amount, date, payment status and the payment reference issued by the gateway.
  • Download records: how many times each file in your order has been downloaded.
  • Contact form: your name, email, order number and message.
  • Technical data: your IP address, kept with orders and messages to prevent fraud and abuse.

What we do not collect

We never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking password. Payments are entered on the secure pages of Razorpay, which handle that information under their own privacy policies and RBI rules.

We do not use advertising trackers or sell your information to anyone.

Cookies

We use one essential session cookie to keep the checkout and contact forms secure. It is deleted when you close your browser. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies.

Who we share information with

  • The payment gateway (Razorpay), to process your payment.
  • Our web hosting and email provider, which store our website data and send our emails.
  • Government authorities, only where Indian law requires it.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as you may need to re-download your files and for at least the period required for tax and accounting records. Contact messages are kept for up to two years.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to us from the email address you used and we will respond within 30 days.
